AN accountant does not need a calculator to work out how long he has been working for well-known Bury company Horsfield & Smith.
For colleagues threw a special party and presentation to celebrate senior partner Martin Hardman's 40th anniversary with the Walmersley Road chartered accountants.
And to celebrate his milestone, he was presented with a watch and other gifts by his colleagues.
A Bury Grammar School "old boy", Martin joined Horsfield and Smith in September 1963. He qualified as an accountant in 1969.
As well as dealing with the audit side of the business, Martin is also involved in keeping the practice up to date with the latest computer technology.
The senior partner, who lives in Holcombe Brook, is a member of the local Rotary Club and is involved with the Young Enterprise in Bury. His interests are walking, boating and watching horse trials.
He was presented with a watch and car accessories on Tuesday from staff and fellow partners.
