THE growing demand for a referendum on the proposed EU Constitution is meeting fierce resistance from the Government, which is attempting to sign away the rights of the people without their consent.
The Freedom Association has been campaigning for a referendum since last December when first details began to emerge of the powers which will be handed over to unelected people in Brussels.
We have already succeeded in highlighting the threats to our political freedom and the ability to govern ourselves. The campaign is now targeting Members of Parliament who we believe can be persuaded to support a referendum.
We therefore urge readers to join our campaign by writing to their MP demanding the right to vote on this major change.
If enough people join our campaign, we will ensure that the Government is prevented from destroying our freedom.
