YMCA bounced back from their disappointing draw the previous week with this comfortable win at Seafield Rd last Sunday. Another long-range effort, this time by James Gardiner doubled the lead shortly after and he added his second after 15 minutes. UNDER 13s CLIFTON RANGERS 0 YMCA 3

In form YMCA struggled to find their rhythm in the first half at Common Edge Rd last Sunday and coupled with a battling Rangers display the game remained goalless at half time. UNDER 14s YMCA 3 CLIFTON RANGERS 0

YMCA were made to work hard for this victory by a hard working Rangers outfit at a sunny Seafield Rd last Sunday. There wasn't much to choose between the teams in the first half but YMCA just edged it and reached the break 1-0 ahead. The goal came from Ryan Colwell who had arrived for the game almost immediately after a trans-Atlantic flight. He netted from close range following a corner. After the restart though YMCA began to find their normal rhythm to produce some fine flowing football and Luke Andrews doubled their lead. Johnnie Cundliffe sealed YMCA's victory.

UNDER 17s YMCA 2 THORNTON SENIORS 1

YMCA's 100 per cent record looked like coming to an end at Seafield Rd last Sunday before victory was eventually snatched in the closing minutes. Although comfortably on top in the first half they reached the interval with only a single goal lead thanks to a strike by Sean Atkinson. YMCA carved out several chances to increase their lead in the second half but failed to capitalise on them. A point apiece looked the likely outcome until Andy Harvie popped up to fire home a winner for YMCA with three minutes remaining. Carl Bennett was outstanding for YMCA in this hard earned victory.
