GLEN LITTLE revealed the Burnley dressing room has rallied round sorry skipper Graham Branch.

The Clarets captain is down in the dumps after his costly mistake allowed Cardiff to steal a point from Turf Moor at the weekend.

But Little is backing Branch to bounce back with a little help from his sympathetic team mates.

He said: "What can you do? You make a mistake and it kills everyone so of course you feel sorry for him.

"You put in the work throughout the game, playing well out there, and it all goes out the window.

"After we've worked hard to get a lead, they get a goal from nothing so it's disappointing, but you've just got to keep going and Graham will do that."

Little, who impressed on his first appearance at Turf Moor since returning from his loan with Bolton, added: "I thought there were a lot of positives and Richard Chaplow, especially, did well again.

"The way the squad is we haven't got too many players, and in my time here we've never really had a youngster come through.

"We've had people maybe on the bench, but no-one who can come in and not just that, but also do a good job.

"He's a good athlete he gets around the pitch, but that's the way football's going. You have to be fit and put yourself about, especially a centre midfield player. But to get goals as well is a bonus."
