TRAINEE butcher Paul Simpson had only just learned how to make bangers when he was voted top trainee sausage maker of the year. The 17-year-old, who worked for G L & T Heys in Burnley impressed judges at a competition in Accrington.
Britain would be relegated to the second division of world economies unless the government improved the education system, Accrington and Rossendale College principal Michael Austin warned.
