STUDENTS were given a grounding for the future world of work at a business seminar at Turf Moor.
The event was organised for Year 11 students from Ivy Bank Business and Enterprise College to help them make career choices and teach them about networking and social skills. The conference included a dinner with members of the local business community, followed with a speech by students.
Jackie Busby, Business and Enterprise College manager, said: "The students will face lots of challenges in the next 12 months and we want to make them understand about the choices they will make.
"It's about setting goals and going for them."
The college is appealing for help from the business community to run the event in the future. To help call 01282 775111.
