A PENSIONER died after collapsing in a shopping centre, an inquest heard.
Neville Wills, 65, of Selby Street, Colne, was in the Admiral Centre, Nelson, on August 29 this year when he fell and hit his head on the floor.
He was taken to Burnley General Hospital but died the next day.
Clare Buchanan, a sales assistant in Stationery Box, told the hearing: "He looked very unsteady on his feet and that is why I noticed him. He grabbed hold of the window of the shop to steady himself but then let go and fell and I heard his head crack on the floor."
A post mortem examination showed Mr Wills died from a brain haemorrhage.
East Lancashire Coroner Richard Taylor recorded a verdict of accidental death.
