POLICE were called to a house in Clayton-le-Moors after an 18-year-old slashed both his wrists outside the property.
The teenager, who police say has serious psychological problems, then went back into the house in the Waterloo Street area.
Police were called at around 9pm yesterday after he retreated to his bedroom still armed with the knife.
He was disarmed and taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary where his wounds were stitched and he was released.
