ACCRINGTON Stanley brought a whole new meaning to squad rotation in their friendly with UniBond First Division promotion chasers Prescot Cables.

Manager John Coleman used the bulk of his squad last night, making numerous substitutions throughout the game at the Interlink Express Stadium.

Goalkeeper Jamie Speare started, being replaced by current first choice stopper Jon Kennedy with around 15 minutes to go.

Fringe players such as Andrew Waine and Lee Madin were picked to start the game, with Madin getting on the scoresheet after rounding the keeper to slot home. First team players were introduced in the latter stages as the Reds tried to come back from a 2-1 deficit but Prescot wrapped the game up with a quality strike.

While Stanley didn't have a settled side for long periods, Coleman blasted his players for succumbing to a side two divisions below them.

STANLEY'S fixture at Margate scheduled for December 6 has been rearranged for March 16 as the Reds are involved in FA Cup action in the second round at Bournemouth.
