JOHN and Derek Howarth ensured a very successful athletics weekend was shared by all their family.
Organised by Derek Howarth, John won the Northern Veterans 10 km race at Leigh, which attracted a very good field.
Other competitors included Jimmy Cooke who finished fourth and Kevin Birchall who finished 18th.
