FIRE FIGHTERS had to rescue a five-year-old girl - after she got her head stuck in a kitchen chair.
Fire crews were called to Willowfield Road, Heysham, after the tiny tot got herself into the tight spot. They tried to slip her head out of the spindles of the chair but eventually had to settle for cutting her free.
"The little girl was very frightened. We had to keep her calm and amused to divert her attention from the equipment because she was already daunted by the situation," says sub officer Bob Taylor from Morecambe fire station.
