LANCASTER is to turn the clock back more than 250 years this weekend - to remember the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745.
Jacobite Day on Saturday will include a performance by folk trio The McCalmans and TV presenter Isla St Clair, but will also be celebrated in numerous other ways.
These include a lone piper playing in Market Square, a programme of 'Lancaster 1745' guided walks, tours of Bonnie Prince Charlie's HQ in the city, music by the Barrow St. Andrew's Pipe Band and songs from the time of the rebellion performed by period group Hautbois.
A free leaflet, with full information on the day's events, is available from Lancaster Tourist Information Centre.
