Shakers Res 3 Wanderers Res 2: BURY captain Matt Barrass scored twice in five minutes to snatch dramatic victory at Gigg Lane on Wednesday night and end Wanderers' interest in the Manchester Senior Cup.
The Reebok second string -- involved in the competition for the first time in 40 years -- led 2-1 with just three minutes of normal time remaining. But the Shakers finished strongly, Barrass capitalising on a loss of concentration in the Bolton defence to equalise then claiming the winner in injury-time.
Wanderers took an early lead with a scrambled goal by centre-back Charlie Comyn-Platt and lively midfielder Lewis Hamlin restored the advantage after Gareth Seddon had equalised.
Both sides spurned second half chances but Barrass had the last word.
