I WAS most annoyed on Saturday when I tried to take my baby swimming and found that yet again the pool at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre was closed for a water polo match.

I often found this to be the case when I was pregnant as well and wanted to go swimming. As a council tax payer I don't think that it is good enough.

Are these not supposed to be public swimming baths? Could the matches not be held at another time instead of at weekends when people usually want to use the pool?

If not, could there not at least be an advertisement in the local newspapers telling people when the pool is to be closed?
