A KARATE teacher has been invited to put together a team to compete in a festival in the USA - and wants to hear from youngsters interested in making the trip.
The Wado-Ryu Karate School meets each Wednesday evening at Lancaster and Morecambe College, where instructor Ray Richardson has a large group of youg students in training.
He has been invited to take a team to a 'Youth in Martial Arts' festival to be held at Disney World in Florida next October.
And Ray says there is still time for young people aged between six and 17 who think they can make the grade to get involved for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Sessions are held each Wednesday evening from 6pm, costing £1, with gradings free.
The Wado-Ryu Karate School is a non-profit organisation which is a full member of the English Karate Federation. More details are from Ray on 01524-418487.
