ROBBERS armed with hammers and wearing balaclavas threatened Securicor staff making a delivery to a bank.
The gang of four escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash after the raid at the Abbey National, Bank Street, Rawtenstall, at 10.30pm yesterday.
Police were today still trying to piece together the full details. But it appears Securicor staff were approached while making the delivery and threatened. No one was injured.
Police from Burnley police would like witnesses, anyone in the area at the time or people with information to call 01282 425001 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
