JUST when you thought Accrington Stanley couldn't get much higher after their memorable FA Cup win over Huddersfield, supporters could literally be on cloud nine.

For Flykeen have chartered a flight from Blackpool Airport to Bournemouth Airport especially for Stanley's FA Cup second round game at the Fitness First Stadium.

Phil Heywood, who has organised the flight, said: "It's not a profit making trip - it's just more to get people into the habit of flying.

"We've been doing a similar thing for Blackpool supporters over the last couple of seasons, flying to Plymouth and Cardiff, and we are running a trip to Bournemouth for them later in the season so we thought it would be nice to do the same for Stanley supporters.

"We've had a good response from the Blackpool fans and everyone comes back saying 'wow' because they've had such a good experience, esepcially if their team's won.

"And at least if they lose you can be back in the pub in an our and a half."

The flight costs £150 but Mr Heywood added: "It is quite a lot of money but if you add the mileage up, it's a long way to Bournemouth and with all the fuel involved in that it's not a great deal more expensive, unless you've got a family of four or something.

"But it takes all the hassle out of driving there because it can take around five or six hours to get to Bournemouth."

Only 15 seats are available on the flight, which has been scheduled to leave Blackpool at 11.15am and will return at around 6pm. A minibus will take passengers to and from the Fitness First Stadium.
