TRIPLETS are all set to make a big splash this weekend to raise money to buy their paralysed cousin a new wheelchair.
Thirteen-year-olds Catherine, Annamarie and Suzanne Davin are taking part in a sponsored 300-length swim at the LA Fitness Centre in Bury on Sunday.
The trio are raising money for their 19-year-old cousin Gary Dawson who in May was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident which fractured his spinal bone and chord, leaving him a paraplegic. The full cost of his wheelchair is £2,500.
The girls' mother Mrs Elaine Davin of Gore Close, said: "The girls have been profoundly affected by Gary's accident, as have all his family and friends."
The 13-year-olds hit the headlines in 1990 when they became Bury's first-ever IVF triplets to be born.
