LADIES from Christ Church in Walmersley have undertaken the marathon task of producing button holes for 90 choristers.
The Rossendale Male Voice Choir, Ladies' Choir and the Rossendale Festival Choir will attend the annual Christmas Concert on December 13 at 7.30pm and will be wearing their button holes with pride.
The choirs have given this concert every year since 1993, and in the past few years, to a packed church. And Christ Church wanted to offer the choristers a token of their thanks for attending over the past 10 years.
The audience will be treated to a mince pie and carols by candlelight.
John Clegg, the concert organiser, said: "The concert has become a thoroughly enjoyable part of Christmas at Christ Church. The choirs have been very loyal to us over the past years and we wanted to give them a small token of our thanks."
Tickets are available on the door and priced at £6.50 and £5.50 for concessions.
