PUPILS in Burnley are using their artistic talents to give yobbish behaviour the brush-off.
Junior and senior pupils have taken part in a competition to design a poster organised by Burnley Community Safety Partnership's anti-social behaviour action group.
The aim was to get the message across that behaviour such as vandalism, bullying, dropping litter and graffiti is costly and harms the community.
The best entries have been made into posters that will soon be displayed throughout the town.
Kim Preston, from St Augustine's School, was the winner of the junior school category and Rachel Parry, from St Hilda's School, was the winner in the senior section.
They each received a cheque for £25 and their schools also received a cheque for £100 to be spent on anti-social behaviour projects within the school.
The quality of entries was so good that 12, including the winning two, will be included in a 2004 calendar.
