THE idea of fluoridation of the water supply is to prevent tooth decay in children. However, most children these days seem to prefer bottled water.
So would it not be better if bottled water were sold with a choice of fluoride added, or not? In this way, people who want fluoride can have it, without it contaminating the drinking water of the rest of us.
If this idea of mass medication is allowed, where will it end? Will we see the addition of aspirin to the water to prevent heart attacks? Surely, it is against our human rights to be forced to take medicine against our will?
