A MAN is to be prosecuted for the manslaughter of a mother of two who died in a sand-yachting incident in St Annes.
The 49-year-old man, from Doncaster, will be issued with a summons this week and is to be formally charged at Blackpool Magistrates Court in January.
Carole Cruz, 38, from Burnley, died last August after a collision with a yacht while on a day out in the town with her sons.
Fylde Council banned the sport from its beaches after the tragedy, and the council confirmed this week that no further yachting will take place until all legal proceedings have been completed.
