Oh dear! We've really set the cat amongst the pigeons -- the Cleveleys Curtain Twitchers are coming from behind their nets.

Firstly, how can anyone feel justified in classing us as 'anti social' when our only misdemeanour was to hold a party in our own back garden on a hot Bank Holiday weekend evening. This was the first in three years which is the reason why we cannot comprehend people's objection. If it was a regular occurrence then we could understand it, but is one night in three years too much to contend with? Apparently yes!

Mr Moore says he has, and we quote, 'been in the past, the victim of the sort of behaviour they allude to' so he also had neighbours who liked to have a good time once every three years -- my heart goes out to him he must really have suffered!!

Or is Mr Moore on a different wavelength and his experience totally different from the one in question.

Mr Moore lives nowhere near Ormont Avenue thank God or we'd all be on an 11pm curfew. However, this does not seem to stop him raising his objection.

He certainly has too much time on his hands that he needs to get involved in issues that are of no concern to him. He tries to make himself seem a little more approachable/normal?

By saying he enjoys a drink or ten (would this be hot chocolate or Ovaltine) and used to know all the verses to Eskimo Nell !! -- obviously a real rebel in his time, is he only 40 something or is it a printing error?

As to Mr Swires, yes people are correct to complain through the proper channels when there is a viable reason but surely, one night out of 1095 , does not justify this, again we come back to the 'live and let live' scenario.

Anyway we wish to put a close to this; we hope Mr Moore regains his memory loss and remembers the words to 'Eskimo Nell' and maybe try and be a bit more tolerant -- there is life after 40, for some of us anyway.

As for Mr Swires, it is very reassuring for the residents of Ormont Avenue to know that should we ever be subject to another terrible, noise nuisance situation we can rely on Mr Swires to point us in the right direction for the logging of our complaints -- cheers!

PS Is Christmas cancelled ? Or does it just stop at 11pm?
