A TEAM of staff from Barclays Bank helped out with a charity makeover for needy children.
The Barnardo's Blackburn Family Action Project, based at Arran Avenue, Shadsworth, runs breakfast and after school clubs, as well as parent support groups.
Usually Barnardo's staff keep the centre bright and colourful, but the creche, reading room and children's washroom needed brightening up.
Lindsey Kennedy, creche co-ordinator, said: "The bank bailed us out. The rooms badly needed a makeover so we are delighted that Barclay's accepted our house doctor-style challenge.
"Not only did the team repaint and decorate the rooms, but also they have funded some new child-friendly furniture. The children love their new-look rooms."
