LANCASHIRE Fire Authority has published its spending proposals for next year, revealing a £6 million increase in expenditure.
Next year's budget is significant because it will be the first time the fire authority takes part of its funds directly from council tax payers.
So if the proposal is approved, next year's council tax bills will include a £52 precept, going directly to the fire authority.
The increase is largely due to inflation and pay increases.
Lancashire Combined Fire Authority director of finance Keith Mattinson, said: "It is impossible for me to say whether our added precept will cause an overall increase in council tax bills.
"Our budget is still only at the draft stage and, as we will no longer receive funds from the district councils, it is difficult to predict the final outcome."
