A BLACKBURN teenager has scooped a top award from the Prince's Trust.
Pamela Boyle, 18, was presented with the Prince's Trust and Pride of Britain Young Achiever North West award at a special ceremony.
Hollyoaks actress Sarah Dunn handed the prize over at Haigh Hall in Wigan.
Pamela beat off competition from five other finalists across the region who were judged on topics including their community involvement and inspiration to others.
The teenager will now go through to the national final of the awards, the winner of which will take part in the National Pride of Britain Ceremony scheduled for next spring.
Jackie Tyler, regional director for the Prince's Trust North West said: "Pamela is a shining example to other young people"
Other Lancashire winners included Blackburn Rovers, who won the Football Excellence Award for the second year running.
