MAX Canham Dye, 34, of Wasdale Avenue, Blackburn, was remanded on bail until January 7 by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to possessing amphetamine, cannabis and ecstasy tablets and driving while disqualified and without insurance.
The magistrates ordered the preparation of pre-sentence reports after hearing the drugs were found during a routine stop and check.
He was originally charged with possessing amphetamine and ecstasy with intent to supply which had been directed to be heard at the crown court but those charges were dismissed.
Ian Holland, defending, said his client had initially been treated like a big-time drug dealer by the prosecution who had successfully applied for him to be remanded in custody.
"Fortunately he was granted bail by a judge at the Crown Court and he has now admitted the more realistic charges of simple possession," said Mr Holland.
