A 56-YEAR-OLD pedestrian struck by a passing car in Burnley was recovering in hospital today after suffering head injuries.
The incident happened in Active Way, Burnley involving a Vauxhall Corsa, driven by Stacey Haworth, 28, of Burnley, and pedestrian Anthony Crooke, of Willow Street, Burnley.
Police said Mr Crooke stepped out into the path of the car when he was hit, causing him to suffer a broken right arm and shoulder, a broken left collar bone, bruising and cuts to his head and a broken right leg.
He was taken to Burnley General Hospital where he has been since the accident, on Wednesday at 9.10am . He is said to be recovering well from his injuries.
