NELSON...1 FORMBY...1
NELSON were held to a draw by a strong Formby team in this closely-fought NWCL Second Division game at Victoria Park.
The Blues were unlucky to see Craig Bradshaw's 12th minute 'goal' ruled out for his challenge on the keeper but Bradshaw made the breakthrough after 35 minutes when he latched on to a long clearance by Billy Carrington.
Formby made a strong start to the second half and were rewarded after 57 minutes when Terry MacDonald's free kick was headed firmly home by Mick Bourne at the far post to level the scores at 1-1.
