A HASLINGDEN engineering company was among winners in this year's National Green Apple Environment Awards.
Advanced Combustion Engineering was among 500 other competitors aiming for the top award.
The green company scooped the National silver award in the category for Economical Energy Use at the event, hosted at The House of Commons.
The company received the prestigious award from Trade Secretary Patricia Hewitt at the prizegiving ceremony.
Roger Wolens, organiser of the event said: "We are delighted with the response of the overall quality of entries.
"Our objective is not only to recognise and publicise various environmental endeavours, but also to help others to follow those examples."
