PADIHAM...4 WINSFORD UTD...3
PADIHAM held on to win yet another extraordinary NWCL Division Two game at the Arbories.
Mark Quinn gave the visitors the lead from the spot following a handball to make it 1-0 but, after the break, the game exploded into life.
Padiham equalised on 51 minutes when Lee Howes rifled in a shot and, 11 minutes later, James Gill scored twice in two minutes -- one direct from a free kick, the other a penalty.
Ian Whittaker added Padiham's fourth in the 71st minute, racing onto a John Harrison through ball, and the Storks were riding high.
Things got nervy as Quinn put Winsford back in the game with a 73rd minute penalty and Nick Boothby reduced the Storks' advantage to one with a well taken free kick five minutes later.
