A RADCLIFFE motorcyclist was killed instantly when he collided with a cement mixer.

Mr Christopher Brophy (35) suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Trafford Park on Friday morning (Dec 5).

At around 6.20am Mr Brophy, of Stand Lane, was driving his Honda CB500 motorbike on Parkway towards Trafford Park. As he neared Parkway Circle his machine was involved in a collision with the rear of a Mercedes cement mixer driven by a 35-year-old man from Ashton-in-Makerfield.

The dual-carriage was closed for four hours. An inquest is to open today (Tues Dec 9) into Mr Brophy's death.
