BRITISH Transport police are still trying to identify a man who died crossing a railway line early yesterday.
The incident happened at the foot crossing at Brierfield on the Blackpool to Colne line at 6.20am as the man, thought to be in his 20s, was hit by the train. He died instantly.
The line was closed for about an hour while the track was cleared.
