ALTRINCHAM 4 RADCLIFFE BOROUGH 1: BOROUGH contributed to their own downfall with some woeful defending against Altrincham at Moss Lane on Saturday.
As early as the sixth minute Borough casually conceded possession allowing Marcus Hallows to round Danny Hurst to score.
Borough were obviously missing Jody Banim and fell further behind when they again gave the ball away and Ian Carney capitalised in the 39th minute.
Borough spurned a couple of good chances but Altrincham controlled the game and increased their lead when substitute Nick Walton punished more poor defending.
Boro did pull a goal back in injury time through Davey Luker but Altrincham had the final word when Carney grabbed his second to complete a miserable afternoon for the visitors.
