AWARD-winning Waterfoot black pudding maker Andy Holt has been presented with another gong. The boss of RS Ireland's Black Puddings was among five small companies in Rossendale to be honoured at a special ceremony, winning the prize for most promising business.
Firms picking up awards were chosen for their work with Kingfisher Consultants Ltd, which runs business support initiatives on behalf of Business Link for East Lancashire.
Martin Kemp, of Kingfisher, said: There are a lot of hard-working and talented entrepreneurs in Rossendale and this award ceremony was designed to celebrate their achievements. They are the people who are creating wealth and employment and they deserve the recognition."
The winners were: Sue Shuttleworth, of Shuttleworth Veterinary Group, lengthiest involvement with Kingfisher; Alison Rushton, Grace Munro designs, in Haslingden, most promising newcomer; Trevor Harding, Denson's Delicatessen, in Bacup, Top of the Valley award; Jane Broadfoot, Dylan's Gifts and Gadgets, in Bacup, Top of the Valley award.
