PEOPLE have the chance to quiz their county councillors at two special roadshow events to be held in Rawtenstall later this month.

Lancashire County Council's touring trailer will be at the East Lancashire Railway Station, Bury Road, Rawtenstall, on Saturday, between 10am to 4pm and Saturday, December 20, at the same times.

County councillor Hazel Harding, leader of Lancashire County Council, will be visiting on both days and local county councillor David Easton will also call in to talk to local residents.

Railway staff will be available on both days to help answer any questions and hand out sherry and mince pies to visitors.

An added bonus for younger visitors is the appearance of Father Christmas, who will be at the station from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday. He will also mak a guest appearance on December 20 from 10.30am to 12 noon.

County Councillor Harding said: "The public often rate our services very highly, yet they don't always know that it is the county council providing them. This is your chance to find out exactly how your money is spent." Residents can also pick up a wide range of leaflets giving details of services.
