A TALENTED Burnley teenager who has set her sights on a career in dancing has won a place to study dance at Preston College.

Kelly Barrett, 15, is currently studying for her GCSEs at Towneley High School, but in September she will start her new course.

After completing her studies in Preston she hopes to become a dance teacher and eventually plans to open her own dance school.

Kelly started dancing when she was nine, at Burnley Dance School. She still attends three times a week to do ballet, tap and modern jazz and is studying for a GCSE in dance there with six others.

Towneley High School headteacher, Sally Cryer, said: "There is no doubt that she will end up with a successful dance career."
