Langworthy Reds 20 Leigh East U 12s 22: LEIGH East U12s sportingly offered to play nine-a-side as Langworthy Reds didn't have enough players.
Leigh were clearly affected as they trailed 12-4 at half time, their unbeaten run looking in jeopardy. But with a change of tactics in the second half East clawed their way back into the match.
With two minute to go it looked all over as the Reds crossed East's line again but the defence had held the player up and the resulting drop-out from under the sticks by Daniel Leonard was allowed to bounce out into touch. From the scrum East got the ball to flying winger
Johnny Lythgoe who ran a full 60 metres to touchdown right between the posts to level the score. It was left to man of the match Ryan O'Toole to kick the goal and seal the win.
