A NETWORK of late night weekend buses running between Golborne, Hindley, Hindley Green and Wigan will continue.
Transport chiefs say Nightbus services will run until at least the end of February 2005 providing a service from Wigan to neighbouring areas between 12 and 3am on Friday and Saturday nights in a scheme funded by Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority and Wigan Council.
Both authorities have agreed to continue funding the scheme for a further twelve months when the existing contracts finish in February 2004.
Councillor John Hilton said: "We have lowered the flat fare to £2. The services are safe, reliable and affordable."
