A DRUG addict was jailed for six months when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates.
The court heard that Marc Andrew Greenhough had been given numerous chances including a deferred sentence and a conditional discharge but had failed to take them.
But Daniel King, defending, said his client had tried hard but always fallen short.
Greenhough, 31, of Abraham Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to possession of crack and heroin, driving while disqualified and without insurance, two breaches of conditional discharges, burglary at Staples Office Supplies, interfering with a car and failing to surrender to custody.
He was again disqualified from driving for two years.
Mr King said Greenhough had missed his daughter's first birthday while remanded in custody and was desperate not to miss her first proper Christmas.
