FORMER Prestwich schoolboy Paul Tierney has made his first team debut for Manchester United.
The 21-year-old played in the centre of the Reds defence in their Carling Cup game with West Bromwich Albion, which they lost 2-0.,
Paul, a former head boy at St Monica's High School, joined United in 2000 as a trainee.
Last season he spent a five month spell at Crewe Alexandra when he made his league debut and started 19 games for the Railwaymen.
