WELL what a surprise, there is a huge hole in Hyndburn council's finances. What on earth are we paying the council's accountants for? Perhaps it might be prudent to make the first savings by getting rid of them!
Once again the council tax payers of Hyndburn are being asked to foot the bill. I suggest all the tax payers of Hyndburn refuse until we have a complete new department of accountants in the finance department.
A 10 per cent increase in council tax will, for many householders and especially pensioners, be the last straw. We the public cannot keep taking these high rates on council tax. We are already paying too much and perhaps it's time private companies took over the running of all our services.
I have had enough of council tax hikes and I'm sure lots of other tax payers are also fed up. So to the council and the leaders of Hyndburn Council I say 'enough is enough.'
