COMMUNITY groups can grab a hi-tech chance to bring in vital funding from outside the borough.
Bury Council has launched a unique web site service called E'GRAB, which stands for Electronic Grant Resources Available for Bury.
It is designed to be a single gateway to unlock external funding for organisations that work in Bury. It lists comprehensive grant directories for the UK, European, Lottery and UK Trusts, a direct link to the funder's web site, and advice and support for those wishing to apply for funding.
Anyone can look at E'GRAB, which is located at www.bury.gov.uk/bury/yourcouncil/funding/egrab
Mr Geoff Higginbottom, chairman of Bury's Local Strategic Partnership, said: "It has become increasingly difficult to access funding regimes due to Bury's perceived prosperity, although in many parts of the borough there continues to remain very high levels of deprivation. This service will help to ensure Bury is best prepared to secure external funding opportunities in the future.
