VISITORS will get the chance to stock up for Christmas at a Ramsbottom farmers' market this weekend.

The Farmers' Market, Local Produce and Crafts Fair is at the Grant Arms and Ramsbottom Market Place from 10am to 3pm, on Sunday.

For the traditional Christmas dinner people can buy free-range turkeys, rare breed pork and beef or local quality lamb, wild, smoked salmon and king-sized tiger prawns for a luxurious starter.

Bury Council's town centres co-ordinator Trish Willott, said, "With over 30 stalls, there is something for everyone."

The Farmers' Market also coincides with the Street Market in Bridge Street, which is being held on the Sundays leading up to Christmas.

Meanwhile, the Ramsbottom Civic Hall Bury Hospice holds its Annual Christmas Fair between noon and 4pm where craft stalls, refreshments, a tombola and a grotto will be on the agenda.

At the Heritage Centre, Christmas carol singing will take place from 3pm to get visitors in the Christmas spirit and in the evening from 8pm onwards a Christmas Jazz Special will take place at the Grant Arms.
