Whilst I agree that the security forces in Britian must carry out raids on suspected terrorists recent events will have negative affects on how Muslims are perceived in wider society.
But the point I want to make is that at the moment there in no middle ground. At the one side the media latches on to the extremist element or the criminal element. Take the Eid celebrations for example what is a bystander to think? These are the very people who are supposed to care about their religion? When something anti-Islamic takes place or is said one side voices their concerns whilst a silent majority go on with their daily business.
Where are the voices of the middle ground?
I agree the Muslim community must not condone acts of terrorism and I also think some in our community couldn't care less about religion or the laws of this land.
