HOW can a petition of more than 25,000 signatures be totally ignored? How many signatures would it take for the council to listen?
Town centre developers Westfield are a profit-making company based in London and they really don't care about the people of Bury and, from the look of it, neither do our elected members.
Personally I feel you can modernise Bury town centre all you like but there remains the problem of parking attendants who book people for being two minutes late. I refuse to shop in Bury because of this and much prefer to drive to the Trafford Centre where I can shop in peace, knowing that I won't get a ticket if I get delayed or bump into an old friend and want to chat.
