NELSON's supporters were left wondering what has happened to the team which were riding high in the league at Christmas after another disappointing display.

The Blues came under pressure right from the kick off and conceded a series of corners which led to the opening goal from a Danny Leyland header after only three minutes.

Nelson eventually found their feet and began to create chances at the other end and levelled the scores with a well deserved goal on 27 minutes.

Kevin Richardson supplied the cross which Andy Haworth chested down before blasting the ball into the roof of the net.

Paul Atherton finished a good run into the Nelson penalty area by firing home his side's second goal after 41 minutes for a half-time score of 2-1 to the visitors.

The Blues tried everything they knew in the second half but as they ran out of steam, Ashton substitute Karl Atherton took advantage to score the third.
