Skelmersdale United 2 Atherton Collieries 1: COLLIERIES stay bottom of the North West Counties League First Division after Skelmersdale came from a goal behind to beat them.
Alan Lord's team had gone in front after 27 minutes when Mark Jones capitalised on a goalkeeping error to tap in from close range.
But Stuart Rudd fired in from 10 yards to equalise for Skelmersdale just two minutes later.
And Tony Morton scored the winner in the 63rd minute to consign Collieries to their first defeat in four matches.
