IN THE Smith Cup, leaders of the Third Division Olympic A recorded a well-deserved victory over Second Division Clitheroe C.

The home side took control of this match from the first game, but Clitheroe were forced to play with a lady short.

Abacus A from Division Two, were well defeated at the hands of Colne from the Third. Yet again the visitors were forced to play with a lady short and Colne took advantage of this.

In the Wilson Plate, Clitheroe D from the Third Division were defeated at the hands of Fourth Division's Stanhill C. The closest match of the week could also be found in this competition when the two top sides from the Fourth Division played each other.

Leaders Abacus B beat Roefield A by just nine aces. The youngsters from Westholme C are gaining in experience as they continue to improve their performances. They recorded yet another victory over Telecom B in the bottom half of Division Four.
