FLYING fish gave themselves up to provide a meal for merchant navy crew on a trip to Buenos Aires.
Eddie Oldham continued his account of life aboard ship on his second visit to Tyldesley Probus Club. He recalled a 36-day voyage from Hull to Argentina when the fish provided a meal by landing on deck.
